So Mac’s Are Cheaper than PC’s

This was a recent comment to a mac hater on youtube, it makes perfect sense…

 

 okay so I have have 5 Macs, and I can prove in the long run PC’s will be alot more expensive so lets see…

SUB Total is $2,183 for the PC, the iMac has more stuff and its cheaper so could spend the money on the iMac customizing it and giving it better specs, why spend all that on a PC when you can get a Mac what’s better and cheaper. Most people think the PC is cheaper, in the long run its not, with all the software you have to buy.

So Why Do I Hate Microsoft, so much!!

Many people recently have been personal messaging me on Youtube lately about why I hate Microsoft so much, so I thought i’d finally explain my full story right now. 

1. The year was 2003, I was doing some school work on an awful HP machine running windows xp, when suddenly I got a strange blue screen. I lost all my work, it really depressed me for a few days. In 2004 I came a hardcore Mac fan, although i have used macs prior, this was when I became the fanatic, Throughout the years I have seen BSOD’s more times than cars on the M1 motorway. 

2. My second reason is because Microsoft steal too much and try and present it as their own, if you think about it, what actually have Microsoft come up with thats truly theirs, the xbox is just really a copy of Play Station, like a Bently & Rolls Royce, Windows is a rip off of MacOS. Apple have innovated the entire computer industry, by finally introducing the GUI commercially, Apple were also the first company to know how important computers would be in the future, while most companies, such as Hewlett Packard laughed at the concept of computers one day being for ordinary people, Apple changed that with the Macintosh in 1984. 

3. The Windows users also make me hate windows even more. They comment a load of abuse and speak utter trash because they know nothing about the Mac so have to make up stuff, One of the worst lie’s i have ever heard is, Macs can’t be upgraded, LOL that is such a lie, they are easier to upgrade than a PC, because every new Mac uses the same ram module, accept the mac pro which has heat sinks on, that avoids confusion when choosing. I have a PC hard drive and PC graphics card in my early 2000 PowerMac g4 running great, the gfx card only had to be flashed a 20 min job then it was set. So all you windows users, when you comment on my youtube your just making me hate windows more and more. Why would I want to be part of the windows community, what makes fun of Macintoshes what are better than your PC’s or Pointless Crap!!!

4. Anti Virus companies are one giant scam. Come on face it, Mcafee & Norton are just ripping you off, its obvious there just paying hackers to hack your computers, so you spend money in buying their software, I’m not saying all the time, but I’d say 40% of the time that happens. With OS X i don’t have to worry about viruses, so can concentrate on more important things.

5. Windows is just too common. I am the sort of person who tries as much as possible to be different, I like to stand out in the crowd so I get noticed, I don’t go OTT, but I don’t like common things and a PC is common to me, there just too plain, boring and UGLY. I like to Think different!!

Imagine a World Without Microsoft

Okay this is strange scenario I know, but imagine, Microsoft suddenly imploding due to the down tern in the economy.

So its January 1st 2009, every Apple user is enjoying their new iPods, Macbooks and iPhones, awaiting for Macworld ‘09 when suddenly, the news pops on TV and the news crew say, Microsoft is no more. No more MSN, No More Windows, No more 360 & No more service packs. Finally!!!

So what would happen, like the hardcore Microsoft hater I am, I would start singing celebration, by Kool & The Gang like all the other Mac fans would lol.

The disappearance of Microsoft Windows from the computer Industry, would cause a mountain of confusion with OEM’s. Who would really fill in the massive gap, certainly not Apple, Steve Jobs would never want Mac OS X running on such awful hardware and I wouldn’t either, because Apple would then just become the next Microsoft. 

I could probably imagine all the major OEM’s trying to bully Apple into licensing, Mac OS X, when Steve refuses, then the companies would probably go under and be no more or they would try and adopt a Linux Operating system & make it an industry standard. 

Without Microsoft Windows slowing down the computer industry, computers could really take off, Apple would be the new power leader and I’m guessing Linux would also do very well too.

Christmas Time Madness

Just a quick Time Lapse video, I did of us putting up the christmas tree and decorations. The actual time was 72 Minuets. Sorry about awful quality, I shot it in 720p HD, exported it and when I uploaded it to youtube it kinda messed it up. The copy I have on my hard drive is perfect 720p.

 

18 Days Till School Holidays

only 18 days left, before we break up for the school holidays, this year the Christmas Half term is over 2.5 weeks, breaking a new record for us lol

PowerMac G4 Fully upgraded

Over the following few months, i’ve been lightly Upgrading my old Power Mac G4, now I have changed the cpu to a 733Mhz G4, I believe it is from a digital audio model, now tiger and all my newer applications work perfectly. The Power Mac is a early 2000 AGP graphics model

Original Specs when bought

400 MHz PowerPC G4, 512MB RAM,  40GB Hard Drive, ATI RAGE 128 16MB, Mac OS 9.  

Upgraded Specs

733Mhz G4, 512MB RAM, 80GB Hard Drive, 40GB disconnected, but still inside it, NVIDIA FX5200, Mac OS X Tiger, Bluetooth module & 802/11 PCI Wireless card. I am hoping to get 1GB ram for it so I can run Leopard on it, and make it more usable.

The Motherboard has also been changed i forgot to mention lol

 

Audi Quattro Next Year

Next year I will be 16 years old, and although I won’t be able to drive a car on the roads, in the UK I can still own a car. Next year, me and my dad are hoping to buy a tatty Audi Quattro and convert it with a body kit, to make it look like a rally car. However, there are some slight problems we must overcome like, where to park it for a long period of time, as my mums car and dads work van are both parked on the drive, the garage will have to be cleared out. The main problem for me is, if its set too low then i’ll have issues going over speed bumps, so I’m not certain what to do with it yet. I would like it re-sprayed in red, like the one from BBC’s ashes to ashes.

iPhone 3G in 24 days.

Finally its almost christmas time, and I’ll be getting my white iPhone 3G 16GB, i can’t wait the anticipation is killing me!!!
